Pepper Steak Stir Fry
Ingredients
2 tbs oil
2 red bell peppers cored, seeded and cut into strips
2 green bell peppers cored, seeded and cut into strips
2.5 lbs flank steak thinly sliced
4 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp grated ginger
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup water
3 tbs sugar
3 tbs cornstarch
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Core and remove seeds in bell pepper
Cut into thin strips
Set to the side
Peel a large piece of ginger
Grate ginger on zester
Set to the side
In small bowl
Add ¼ cup water
Add soy sauce, sugar and cornstarch
Mix till fully combined
Set to the side
Heat 1 tbs oil in large pan over med-high
Add peppers to the pan
Cook for 3-5 min till tender
Set to the side
Add 1 tbs oil into the pan
Add steak
Cook for 5-6 min till browned
Once browned
Add garlic and ginger
Cook for about 1 minute
Add peppers to the pan with steak
Mix to combine
Pour sauce over steak and peppers
Mix to cover everything in the sauce
Bring to a simmer
Cook for 3-5 min just till sauce thickens
Server with side of rice
