Chicken Soup

INGREDIENTS

Whole Chicken about 5 lbs

4 carrots – sliced

1 onion – chopped

4 celery ribs – diced

4 tbs butter

Egg Noodles (16oz)

3 tbs pepper

3 tbs garlic powder

3 tbs salt

1 tbs chicken bouillon

Fresh parsley - chopped

 

 DIRECTIONS

Add you chicken to a large pot

Add pepper, garlic powder and salt

Add enough water to cover the chicken

Bring to a boil and then simmer for 2-3 hrs

While you chicken is cooking prepare your vegetables

Once chicken is cooked remove and set to the side to cool

Pour your broth into a large bowl to cool down

Run your broth through a strainer and set to the side

Add your butter to your pot

Once butter is melted add your vegetables

Sauté your vegetables for 5 minutes

Add enough water to cover your vegetables

Let simmer for 15-20 minutes

Debone your chicken

Add your broth back to your pot

Add the chicken, noodles and parsley to your pot

Taste and add more seasoning as needed

Cook till your noodle are done about 10-15 minute
