Chicken and Gravy
Ingredients
3-4 boneless chicken breast
½ cup flour
2-4 tbs olive oil
1 stick butter
5 cups chicken broth
1 chicken bouillon cube
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt
1 tsp Onion, Garlic and Mustard powder
½ tsp dried thyme, ground sage and pepper
Directions
Season chicken with salt and pepper all sides
Coat with flour all sides
In large Dutch oven
Heat olive oil over med heat
Sear chicken for 4-5 mins per side
Once cook remove and set to the side
Add butter
Once melted add flour
Cook till a light brown color
Add chicken broth
Cook for a few minutes
Scraping up the bits from the bottom of the pot
Add all seasonings
Cook for a few minutes
Add chicken and any juices
Bring to a simmer
Cover and cook for 1-2 hrs till chicken is tender
Remove chicken
Use a fork to shred the chicken
Add back to gravy
Cook for another 15-30 minutes
Server over rice or mash potatoes
