Chicken and Dumplings

Chicken and Dumplings



Ingredients

4 chicken breasts

64 oz chicken broth

4 cups water

1 can cream of chicken soup

2-3 cans biscuits

Flour

Salt & pepper to taste



Directions

In large pot over med high heat

Add 8 cups water

Once boiling add your chicken breast

Cook till done about 45 minutes

Remove from pot and set to the side


Lower to med heat

Add cream of chicken soup

Add chicken broth

Mix to combine

Taste and added S & P as needed

Bring to gentle rolling boil


Take biscuits out of the can

Pass biscuits in flour

Coating both sides

Using rolling pin

Flatten out the biscuits

Cut into 4 pieces

Repeat with remaining biscuits


Slowly add biscuits into broth a few pieces at a time

Gently push dumplings down into the broth

Continue slowing adding the dumplings

Cook for 10-15 minutes after last one is added


Tear up chicken and add to the broth mixture

Cook an additional 15 minutes


If you find your broth is too thin

Mix 1 tbs water with 1 tbs cornstarch

Add to your broth
