Tex-Mex Sloppy Joes
Ingredients
1.5 lbs. Ground Beef
1 small Onion chopped
2 Garlic cloves minced
1 cup Ketchup
1 small can chopped Green Chilies
½ cup Beef Broth
¼ cup Chili Sauce
1 TSP Chili Powder
½ TSP ground Cumin
¼ TSP Red Pepper Flakes
**I use Flatiron Pepper Co Dark and Smokey
¼ TSP Salt
¼ TSP Pepper
Hamburger Buns
Directions
In large skillet or pot
On Med High
Cook ground beef and onions
Cook for 5-10 minutes
Until beef is no longer pink
Drain drippings
Add garlic
Cook an additional 1-2 minutes
Add remaining ingredients
Bring to a boil
Lower heat to simmer
Cook additional 15-30 minutes uncovered
Stirring occasionally
Toast hamburger buns
Add mixture on bun
Server with chips
