Smothered Okra and Sausage
INGREDIENTS
2 lbs sliced okra
1.5 tbs of vinegar
1 lbs sausage - sliced
1 Onion - chopped
1 bell pepper - chopped
1 tbs garlic - minced
1 can Rotel
1 can tomato sauce
14 oz of chicken broth
1 tbs Cajun Seasoning
1 tbs Garlic powder
1 tbs Onion Powder
Oil
DIRECTIONS
Add oil to a large skillet and heat over med high
Add your sausage and sear on all sides
Once fully seared remove and set to the side
Add extra oil about 2 tbs spooks to skillet
Add your okra and cook for 5-minute stirring occasionally
Add your vinegar can cook for another 5-minute stirring occasionally
Add your onion, bell pepper and garlic
Cook for another 5-minutes
Add remaining ingredients and sausage
Cover and cook for 20 minutes
Serve with rice, cornbread or your favorite side disk
