Sausage Creole
INGREDIENTS
1 lb sausage – cut in ½ slices
½ cup onion - diced
½ cup bell pepper - diced
½ cup celery – diced
2 garlic cloves – minced
1 can 8 oz tomato sauce
1 can 14 oz diced tomatoes
1 tbs oil
1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
1 tbs hot sauce
1 tsp chili powder
1 bay leaf
DIRECTIONS
Heat Dutch oven over med heat
Add sausage and brown on all sides
Once brown remove and set to the side
Add your oil if needed and let heat up
Add onion, bell pepper and celery
Statue for about 5-7 minutes till soft
Add garlic and cook for 1 minute
Add sausage and remaining ingredients
Stir to combine
Season with salt and pepper if needed
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes
Remove bay leaf before serving
Serve over rice
