Rotisserie Chicken

Rotisserie Chicken



Ingredients

4-5 lbs whole chicken

3 tbs oil or butter

1 cup water


Rub

4 tsp kosher salt

2 ½ tsp pepper

4 tsp garlic powder

4 tsp onion powder

4 tsp paprika

4 tsp thyme

Dash of cayenne pepper



Directions

Preheat oven to 300


Add rub ingredients to small bowl

Mix to combine


Clean your chicken

Remove any items in the cavity

Dry off the skin with paper towels


Brush the chicken with oil or butter

Sprinkle dry rub on chicken


Add 1 cup water/chicken broth to roasting pan


Place the chicken on the rack w/ breast side down

Place rack into the pan


Place into the oven

Once the internal is 160 which can take 2-3 hrs

Remove from oven


Ten with foil

Let rest for 10-20 minutes

This will allow the chicken to reach 165 an juices to redistribute


Sever w/ vegetable
