Baked Penne

INGREDIENTS

1 lbs penne pasta

6-8 slices provolone

1.5 cups sour cream

3 cups shredded mozzarella

1 cup grated parmesan

1 lbs ground beef 80/20

1 lbs Italian sausage

1 onion chopped

6-8 garlic cloves minced

28 oz can crushed tomatoes

15 oz can tomato sauce

2 tbs tomato paste

¼ cup water

2 tbs sugar

2 teaspoon beef bouillon

1 tbs dried basil

1 tbs dried parsley

1 ½ tsp salt

1 tsp dried oregano

½ tsp thyme

½ tsp pepper

½ tsp red pepper flakes

 

 DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350

Cook pasta in salted water per package directions

 

In a Dutch oven over medium heat

Cook ground beef, sausage and onion

Once onions are translucent

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute

Add remaining ingredients

Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes uncovered

Mix your pasta into your sauce

Add half of your mixture to a 9x132 baking dish

Add half of your mozzarella over pasta mixture

Add all your provolone

Even spread your sour cream over the provolone

Add remaining pasta

Add remaining mozzarella

Top with parmesan

Bake for 30 minutes covered
