Italian Drunken Noodles

Italian Drunken Noodles

INGREDIENTS

12oz wide pasta noodles

1 lbs spicy Italian sausage

1 bell pepper – thin sliced

1 med onion – thin sliced

4 garlic cloves minced

28 oz can diced tomatoes

¾ cup dry red wine

1 tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp pepper

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

¼ cup fresh basil

2 tbs olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Red pepper flakes

 

DIRECTIONS

Cook pasta per the package instructions and set to the side

Heat a large skillet over on medium hig

Add sausage, break up the sausage while cooking

Cook till no longer pink and set to the side

Add olive oil to your skillet

Add onion and bell pepper

Cook till softened

Add garlic and cook for about 1 minute

Add your red wine and reduce to about half

Add diced tomatoes, pepper and red pepper flakes

Cook for 15 minutes

Add sausage and basil to the sauce

Cook for another 15 minutes

Season with salt and pepper to taste

Add your pasta and stir to coat with the sauce

 

Top with Grated Parmesan cheese
