Beef Casserole - John Wayne Casserole
Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1 16 oz can large biscuits
½ cup sour cream
½ cup mayonnaise
8 oz grated cheddar cheese (divided)
1 onion chopped (divided)
1 red bell pepper (divided)
1 large tomato (sliced)
4 oz pickled jalapeno
Directions
Preheat over to 350
Using a 13x9 casser4ole dish
Spay with cooking spray
Form the curst by placing the biscuits in the dish
Pressing them together and up the sides
Bake for 12-14 minutes till brown
Remove and set to the side
In a skillet
Cook your ground beef
Add taco seasoning to beef per instruction on package
Once the liquid is evaporated
Add half of the onion and bell pepper
Cook till soft about 3 minutes
In a small bowl
Add sour cream, mayo, half of the cheese and onion
Mix to combine
Layer the ingredients in the following order in the casserole dish
*Taco meat mixture
*Tomato slices
*Onion mixture
*Jalapenos
*Cheddar cheese
Place in oven and cook for 30 minutes
