Beef and Broccoli
Ingredients
3 Tbs cornstarch- divided
1 lbs flank steak – cut into 1-inch pieces
½ cup low sodium soy sauce
3 Tbs packed brown sugar
1 Tbs minced garlic
2 Tsp grated fresh ginger
2 Tbs oil – divided
4 cups small broccoli florets
½ cup thin sliced white onion
Directions
In large bowl
Add 2 tbs cornstarch and 3 tbs water
Mix to combine
Add beef
Mix till beef is fully covered
Sauce
In small bowl
Add 1 tbs cornstarch, soy sauce,
brown sugar, garlic, and ginger
Whisk to combine
Heat a large nonstick sauté pan over medium heat
Add 1 tbs oil
Once oil is hot
Add beef to the pan
Cook for 3-5 minutes
Using slotted spoon
Remove beef and set to the side
Add broccoli florets and sliced onions to pan
Cook for 4 minutes till broccoli is tender
Add beef and sauce to pan
Mix to combine
Being mixture to a boil and cook for 2-3 minutes
Once sauce starts to thicken remove from heat
Server with Rice or Noodles
